Vive la France!
Reports that there was a massive boycott of the France v Israel match seem to born out by the live footage below.
According to one vlogger, there was a significant police presence around the match and Selina Sykes, from the France 24 channel, confirmed that there was record low attendance, with just under 17,000 fans in attendance. To give you some perspective, Stade De France has a capacity of 81,000. Also, when you factor in that some of the fans would have been Israeli, it would suggest a significant boycott by French supporters. Sykes tells us that French fans also booed the Israeli national anthem and they booed when Israeli players had possession of the ball and also when they made a substitution.
